The fine print
- Referral window: 90 days from the introduction.
- Payout timing: within 15 days of Headwaters collecting the client's payment.
- Payment method: your choice of Stripe, Zelle, check, or ACH.
- Paperwork: a simple one-page referral agreement, no fancy legal.
- Tax note: referral fees are taxable income to you; if you earn $600+ in a calendar year, you'll receive a 1099-NEC in January.
